With more than 1,100 employees and turnover of around €150m, Ramery Bâtiment, the construction branch of Ramery, a family-owned company specialised in building and the environment, has successfully maintained its position as a solid, renowned player in a rapidly changing sector. The company’s strategy is underpinned by three principles: diversify know-how, anticipate changes in the marketplace and strike out to win new markets.

Dynamic and proactive, Ramery Bâtiment needed to make changes to its sales documents. “The image we were presenting no longer reflected what we are today: a fast-growing company” explains Olivier Curot, head of the integrated quality, safety and environment management system at Ramery Bâtiment for the last four years and manager of the Proposal Studio project.

With more than 200 bids per year and per agency, it was important for Ramery to streamline its practices and make its B2B communication more consistent. Opting for bid optimisation software was an obvious choice: “The goal in switching to Proposal Studio was twofold: improve our image, but also help our people save time when creating proposals and technical briefs, thus freeing them up to respond to more RFPs” says Olivier.

Proposal Studio was rolled out in April 2015 to some thirty project managers. It got an enthusiastic response, both internally and from clients and contractors. “Our new graphic layout has been a real success. It looks more professional, more modern, and has been a big hit. The software also saves our sales support staff a lot of time, since they can create bid packages in just a few clicks.”

Olivier has noted an additional advantage to using Proposal Studio: “Having better looking and more effective technical briefs encourages us to maintain the quality of our content, so that it matches the form.” This is an exciting success story which Olivier hopes will result in a higher win rate within a few months.
